Talking Points Fundraising for Park
We need money, donated items, or labor.
Soccer Fields – We have contract with Tatum Lawn Care for the 3 youth soccer fields and one adult rec field. This is for $14,327. We have raised from the Columbia Basin Foundation and NW Farm Credit Rural Community grants a little over $8,000
T-Ball Field – Our park is too small for legal hardball and the backstop is not legal according to today’s safety standards. It will cost $35,000 for a new one to be placed at the corner of Fern & 4th. The soccer goalposts are portable so the south side of the park will be play area for both sports.
Picnic Plaza – Job Corp will pour cement we need funding for the materials. We need picnic tables and a shelter. If someone were to cover all this, we can offer naming rights.
Park Sign & Kiosk – The park sign design was for 2 basalt pillars with a custom metal arch sign. This would cost approx. $9,000. The kiosk will have the tree legend identifying the planters trees, history of the park, donor information, and any details of someone who would sponsor the entire kiosk. Cost approx. $8,000, balance needed for installation of both.
Playground – The cost of the playground installed is a little over $90,000. Lauzier Foundation gave us $75,000. We need funds to cover cost of cement curbing, fill material, and site prep.
